Belguim Revolver need info
Looking for any information on the following:
An old Belgium proof marked revolver. Appears to be 38 cal. center fire with odd shaped oct. barrel. Barrel length 5 3/4" long. Has a four digit serial # on metal butt. Under the one piece grip,which is removed by pulling down on lanyard ring, is stamped Spirotie. Action is single and double. Under the hammer is a flat lever which when depressed opens the hinged left side of frame to expose the inner components. The cylinder center pin holds swingout ejector rod.

It would be best to post quality pictures of your revolver. With out any manufacturer or dealers markings, probably be the only way to identify it.
From the last quarter of the 19th Century to W W I, ( 1914 ) all kinds of firearms were produced in Beligum, by many small manufacturers. The only requirement was that they had to pass proof.
