Ammo for Remington 870 rifled.

I have found a Remington 870 espress with a sighted rifled barrel. I have to know what kind of ammo it fires? Sabot? Slugs? I don't know the difference....Is it a quality gun? How it compares to Maverick/ Mossberg shotguns?

PD: I have obtained a new Beretta 92 FS to reinforce my collection besides a Browning HP, CZ 75, Tanfoglio 9mm. I am happy for having this guns! Thanks!

  you will be able to shoot both sabots and slugs in the barrel.

  Breechman - Yes you will be able to use both kind of slugs, but for better accuracy, go with a sabot slug. As far as the brand of your gun is concerned, it will work for you just fine. I would say that the 870 is about in the same class as a Mossberg. I've owned both guns, but I still prefer my Winchester 1300 pump shot gun.
