Any info on location of company or survivors???
Have a .222 (sleeved action) and am looking for date of manufacture etc.

  Hart rifle barrel company . Send them an email with the exact markings, they will be able to date it for you. Your barrel is probably from the early to mid 70's

  Many thanks for the link -- they said they would bet it built as a benchrest rifle in the late 60's on a 700 action, which fits (SS Hart barrel, Remington 700 Hart sleeved action, single shot, no safety etc). Owner also has #3200 Redfield 24x target scope which he said was also with it when built, and this also fits the late 60's timeframe.
