I just traded into a HP22 Phoenix Arms which I love except for the fact that after a couple shots the hammer won't stay back and you have to one again breach it back and wiggle the slide to get it to stay please and info that you could give on how to fix or why this is happening please let me know. Thank you

  Sounds like it is short-cycling, does the slide move smoothly? I am betting a good cleaning/oiling of the gun and hammer/sear will resolve the issue. They aren't quality guns, but I've had one for years and never had a problem with it.

  I have the deluxe rangemaster kit and I love this gun. King Joey is right, clean the gun good and it will shoot for years to come. Mine goes bang every time. Also make sure to use high velocity ammo cause some of the weak .22's wont force the slide back hard enough.
