Rifle action

I just got this rifle action and Barrel, there isn't any stock. I haven't seen one like this before and was wondering if someone knew anything about this gun. It is stamped FIREARMS INTERNATIONAL CORP. WASH. DC on the barrel, On the other side it says Musketeer II 30.06
On the action it says JFC Made in Belgium. I would like to get a stock for this.

    FIC was the Importer, and we know that it's chambered for the 30-06.
    Who JFC (the manfacture) is/was I don't know.
    There's a good chance it's one of the Mauser clones, photos would help.

    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    The good news is it's a FN Mauser action if that is any help

    Herters had the stocks for them.

    I have a complete rifle in 30-06 from FIC. I purchased it several years ago. It is a soild rifle and if you ever want a custom rifle you have one of the best actions to start with, The FN MAuser Action. You may be able to make a JC Higgins Model 50 stock work but you would probably be better off getting a semi- finished stock from Richardes Micro Fit stocks or one of the other stock makers and fitting it up your self. FIC stocks are not easy yo come up with.

    Try Boyd's gunstocks they could help you I'm sure. They make a good quality affordable product and they are real helpful on the phone too.

    Boyd's is a great company and if I want a laminate stock their JRS classic at $75 delivered is what I buy. However, if I want a nice bit of walnut Richard's Microfit is where I go. What they sell as a AA grade is what I expect most other places to sell as AAA.

    If it is indeed a Large ring Mauser action, I have 5 stocks in various stages of completion, including a Birch Boyd's that just needs finish work(i.e sanding and finish). Recoil pad is in place- I can even put a metal grip cap on it for you that I got for a similar project. Let me know. All are "semi-inletted" not quite drop-in but pretty close. If your interested in doing some of your own work, I'll send pix direct or via the forum. The Boyd's I would need a few bucks for but everything else is strictly barter or barter for donation.
