Need To Know Value of Grendel P-30

Just ran across a Grendel P-30 with 30 round mag. as new in factory box. It is my understanding that these were only made for a short time in the early to mid 90s.

I need some help regarding its value.

    They were made from 1990-1994. I paid $200 for mine with an extra Magazine ($15). Standard catalog gives $200 NIB, $150 Exc, $125 VG, $100 Good. I have seen them offered as high as $450 Exc, and mags for $50. Somewhere between $200 and $450 is probably about right. They are kind of a hoot to shoot with 30 rounds, but they are certainly not target guns. Also one of the ugliest pistols ever.

    grendel p-30 was a fun gun.... carried one for several years...however they were prone to problems..one was firing pin with long point that was prone to break....this with one or two other gremlins led me to sell it for $150.....think now would make firing pin out of titanium ??? and make the long point a larger diameter, drilling out the guide hole...30 rounds was a lot in a standard size grip.....enjoy

    Had a couple, darn things would never empty a mag without jamming at least once. Glad to be rid of them. A firearm that jams and can't be cured of its evil ways is worth about .30. They were a hoot to shoot though.

    As a Grendel-holic, I can only say that it's worth whatever you can get for it over $265.
    I have an R31, 3 P-30's, and a cutaway P-30M.
    The first P-30 I got in Artesia,NM for only $200 because the dealer thought it was a gangbanger-only model; "Why else have a 30-rounder on a pistol?", he asked, "Because you don't want to reload as often?!"

    I had trouble with the second one I bought, the slide would jump off on one side of the rail, and splatter the shooter with brass pieces. I sent it back for fixing, and they gave me a brand new one with the same serial number! (000479X)

    I use the P-30 with the muzzle break on it for shooting IPSC runs at Zia R&P Clubs' range; sooo much fun watching the guys with Para Ords and Hi Powers shuffling around, trying to reload after shooting only 15-18 times! They have a mandatory reload which I do just before showing clear and holstering.
    The R31 is lotsa fun too! Many think it's a H&K or some type of evil assault rifle with its' collapsing stock and general good looks!
    All my Grendels are very accurate, have never jammed(except with CCI Maxi-Mags), and will probably be buried with me. (The mags can go for as much as $85!)
    One modification that I have made to all the pistols was to remove the stupid ambidextrous safety lever from the right side; it kept hitting my knuckle under recoil and turning itself on.

    PS-the factory box is nothing more than a plastic clamshell; trade it for another mag!
