Daisy Model 25 Air Rifle. Need Help
I'm hoping to find info on my Daisy Mod.25 air rifle. It is a standard 25 EXCEPT, original finish is a dark gold or bronze color, no painted or stamped engraving, and stamped "SALVAGE" on frame in front of trigger guard. The gun has no apparent flaws that would cause it to be labled salvage that I can see, and functions perfectly. Plymouth Mi. manufacture, adjustable rear sight with flip up apperture or v notch leaf, plastic stock.
Air rifles are not my strong suit and I'm hoping someone can tell me if salvage marked guns are common or do I have something of a rairty, I've never seen another so marked or this color. Also, is it possible that this is one that was rescued from the factory trash heap? Any help appreciated.
