usp comact vs. p2000

i just got my CCL, i am about to buy one of these fine pistols. but i dont understand the *new* p2000 trigger system. i have shot the usp compact and liked it, but is the p2000 worth the extra $$$.

  The typical USP Compact is a Variant 1: DA/SA, safety and decocker. Since it has a safety, it can be carried cocked and locked. The Compact can also have the LEM trigger.
  
  The typical P2000 has HK's LEM trigger: the movement of the slide pre-cocks the hammer spring to reduce the weight of the trigger pull. The length of the trigger pull is the same as DA on the Compact. The hammer is down. When you pull the trigger, it moves the hammer backwards (but is very light since the hammer spring is pre-cocked) until the break point. The P2000 is also available as a traditional DA/SA; since it does not have a manual safety, it can't be carried cocked and locked.
