saiga 7.63

Can anyone offer me feedback on this rifle and maybe even mod. advice. I had to have it when i saw it for some reason.

If your talking about the 7.62X39 caliber Saiga then your looking at a nice gun. Good Russian quality , you cant go wrong.

I'm not sure about the rifle, but Saiga makes a 12 ga. semi auto also. My buddy in Roanoke is a gun dealer and he has bought (2) for some friends and both had to be sent back because they would not cycle anything. It was a clip fed model and I'm sure it had something to do with the clip design. If you want a good 7.62X39, get a SKS. The receiver is milled out of a solid billet of ordnance grade steel as opposed to being stamped like the Saiga. I bought a surplus Chinese SKS($99) and put a Ramline synthetic stock($49) and a scope. I have about $200 tied up in it and it will shoot as good as a $500 Mini-30.
