An excellent condition Smith & Wesson Performance Center 627-3, stainless, 8-shot, .357 magnum, with moon clips and 4 speed loaders...all for $795.00.

    For your information, on this revolver, the cylinders are chamfered and relieved so that the gun can be fired with or without moon clips.

    They still make this revolver today at S&W. There are several of them listed on Gunbroker. They make a great gun for shooting steel challenge. Yes the moon clips makes them faster to reload. I have one and a 327 also that I carry for personal defense. Ilike the way they cut them now days so that they can be used either way, with or without moon clips.

    I use my 627 in competition at the International Revolver Championship where everyone uses moon clips.

    Moon clips are not only "considered" faster than speed loaders, they "are" faster. Another advantage is when your done your empties are are held together for easier pick-up.

    Anything under 800 bucks for a 627 is a decent price.
