mosin m44 feeding problem

I recently purchased a mosin m44 and i'm having trouble manually cycling the last two rounds. the first three cycle perfectly but the fourth one wiii extract but not eject. it seems the magazine follower is not strong enough to push the round past the catch that holds them in place. This is my first mosin and i don't know how strong this spring should be. Any suggestions?

    In the IPB above #10 is the Ejector/Interrupter Spring. #11 is the Ejector/Interrupter.

    1), With the rifle "UNLOADED", bolt opened, stick your finder down in to the action, on the left side is the ejector. You should be able to move it easily with just the pressure of your index finger. Some of the refurbished Mosin-Nagants coming into the country have just been slapped together, with-out testing for proper function.

    2), If the Ejector is really tight, take the Mosin-Nagant out of the stock. Put a screwdriver between the recever and the Ejector Spring #10. Lever the Ejector Spring out to reduce tension on the Ejector. Due this on a trail and error basis till you get proper tension on the ejector, so your feeding problems are corrected.

    3), Don't worry about screwing up the Ejector Spring there dirt cheap and interchangeable between all the different flavors of Mosin-Nagant. The only ones that are different are the early Mosin-Nagants that had one-piece Ejector/Interupter Springs.

    Thank you very much. This is exactly where the rounds were hanging up. I will follow your instructions. Scince i never owned one of these before i didn't know how much tension they should have or how to correct it.
