I was the only bidder on this 106 Tournament with two barrels. Since I don't think the Tournament was ever ofered with a 7-1/4" fluted barrel I am wondering if that barrel may have come from a Citation or Trophy? I'd like to use the 7-1/4" barrel on my own 107 Trophy Military...are there any issues about the barrel fitting between 106 and 107 series pistols?

Hello while these pistols have interchangeable barrel some times the STUD is slightly off and the spring loaded push button will not come far enough out to lock the barrel and the stud has to be fitted The radius of barrel "SHOULD" be the same and the chamber"SHOULD be in line with the rim cutout in the slide breach face . install on the frame you want it on and if the push button pops out and the barrel is not loose and the magazine feeds the round with out shaveing lead you are home free. otherwise it might need to be fitted.Hope this helps and I believe BOBSKI will have almost the same answer. perrys right. it should fit ok. if not, its a plunger(post) fit issue. take it off the bbl, (remove pin or screw it out) chuck it up, machine turn the wide round part closest to the bbl down to match frame well OD(carefully,) reinstall and check depth. if too high, file the crown of the stud a little and your in business. tournaments only came with 5.5" bulls and 6 3/4" tapered's. all 106's were eagle logos. trigger logos were 107's and beyond. tournaments came without 'grooved' matting on the top of both the bbl and slide; and, later versions didnt have mounting points for compensator.
your 7 1/4' fluted indeed came off a citation. if it has the ultimate polish finish, its a trophy bbl. go over to the want list and read the thread on 'wanted, hi standard bbl' posted by pa shooter and read up on fake bbls. old welder went silent when i started questioning him on facts and went defense on me when i questioned his 200.00 price tag for one. learn and enjoy. btw...put a set of no thumb rest grips on that tournament and when you hold it, i swear, youll think youre holding a 45 with a straight mainspring housing. i just bought another 106T one a while back to build up my student inventory. great guns. youre gonna enjoy it. btw...the brass bullet 'plug' on the back strap is correct. dont think it was a repair. its was a factory item used to get the mainspring in at the factory!0 -
wow. i saw the pic of your gun. you stole it. see? tournaments always go for less and its just as good a gun minus the sear adjustment. and how often does someone who doesnt match shoot adjust a sear? blame me if all of a sudden tourny's start goin up now![8D] trigger logo....107 bbl! i see it. now check the mag and see if its a red bottom mag. if not, its been replaced. 0 -

I found that other Mag, it's for LR ammo (not a Olympic mag). If you still want it, drop me a note with your current mailing address, and I'll send it on.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0
