special order model 1894 winchester value?

I would like some input on the market value of a Winchester model 1894 rifle caliber 32-40 26 inch barrel half round half octagon, Shotgun butt, button magazine and lyman tang sight built in 1904. The gun is 75% to 80% and all orignal.

  If all original as you described it is a valuable Winchester rifle (assuming that all the lettering is clear with no evidence of refinishing). You may be able to get a letter from the Winchester museum in Cody, Wyoming. This may go for $1500+ on Gunbrokers Auction site but it is all about getting the right buyer willing to pay top dollar. A non-factory refinish would likely cut the value in half.

  If it was actually manufactured in 1904, you can (and should) obtain a factory letter for it from the Cody Firearms Museum. If it letters properly (matches the current configuration), it will easily exceed $2K if it is in 75% graded condition.
