accelerator ammo

Where might I find or buy accelerator ammo. Or does Rem. still make it.I live in ohio and have not seen it around.Looking for 30-06 or 30-30 acc.

    I purchased some 30-30 Accelerator ammo quite awhile ago, but never fired it. One question I had was it it pointed ammo and I was told never to shoot pointed ammunition in a tube feed magazine.

    Is this stuff supposed to be single loaded, or is the recoil so low due to the 22 cal bullet that there is no chance of having the rounds in the magazine go off?

    Walmart has the 30-30 saboted .223's for $17 a box.

    Beleive this has been discussed here recently.

    Bullets that light do not stabilize well in .30 barrels that have a rifling rate to best stabilize bullets in the 150 to 200gr range.. They sure do fly fast and flat but accuracy is not there. Beleive there also might be an issue of plastic fouling of the barrel.

    Did try them in a 30-30 in about '78 or so, did not get acceptable accuracy. Doubt they are in production but you might find some old stock somewhere, it might have a collector's value, check before you fire it off.

    i work in a gun shop in PA and yes rem still make them i have a few boxes of 30-06acc. at the store. if your intrested email me and i can give you the info and send them to you.

    If you hand load, the sabots can be purchased seperately just do a search an internet search for the bast deal. Maybe using heavier bullets might improve there accuracy.
