Does anyone make reloading dies for these wsm cartridges? Or reloadable brass?

    Trying to deside which rifle to buy for white tail deer hunting:
    1. 7 mm WSM
    2. 7 mm Mag.
    3. 30-06
    Shooting range 150-500 yards. People have told me that the 7mmMag will be too big. Need some advise on the 7mm WSM. I know for sure that the 30-06 will be suitable. Your advise will be greatly appreciated.

    Elk is a tough critter, you will need to do load development with tough bullets. I'd start with at least 150g, maybe even 160g. I'd think at least a Nosler Partition or even Winchester Failsafe. The Scirocco is suppose to be tough, but I haven't read anything to make me think that it is that tough. Your big problem will be mag length and bullet seating depth.

    i used this exact caliber to take my first elk. i loaded 150 sciroccos and 160 accubonds. the accubonds grouped better and held up on a 6x6 shoulder at 150 yrds. the rack is on my wall...

    I'd opt for the 160gr accubond and find the majic powder charge for that pill.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    3 of my friends use 7mm remington mags handloaded with 140 grain partitions...most people think it is to lite a bullet , but i have seen 9 elk taken between them from 75 to over 500 yards and the majority took only one shot..2 of them are going to 150 grain partitions this year just cause and the 3rd is gladly taking the leftovers and will continue to use them. This isnt a reccomendation, just an observation. I think shot placement is more critical then bullet weight if you use a well constructed bullet.My thoughts would be to use the heaviest bullet your gun shoots in to 1.5" or less at a 100 yards assuming you are likely to get a shot at 250 yards or less. If you will be likely offered a chance at longer shots, then I would use what ever premium bullet your gun groups best and invest in a bipod as well.

    Just open up your caliber and download to your computor. Then open with acrobat.
