who makes the best trigger

Whose trigger would you buy for a savage 11 22-250. Rifle Basix, Timney, or Sharp Shooter. I am looking at Brownells. THanks for any advise.

  Two out of three I can't tell you much about as all I use are Timney. Their Featherweight Delux is a very good trigger. I was at the Holand & Holand (yes that H&H) website last year and noticed that they offer Timney triggers as an option on their custom bolt rifles. I know that you can pay alot more for a trigger, but after working with different double and single set triggers and several Jewel triggers over the years, for the difference I buy Timney.

  I have to agree with ern98 on this one. I have used Canjar, Timney, 2 different German set triggers, and a few others but for the money I just quit buying anything but Timney. They do the job right and at half the costs of others.

  Hello Gunguy30_06. I have installed two Timneys on two different Savage rifles and I have had no complaints for either of the two owners. I personally think Savage has hit it on the head with the Accu-trigger set up on the new rifles. I also have a "Hunter" Timney in my personal Winchester M70 and it works great.

  Rifle Basix makes a really nice trigger for the Savage models.
  I use them in a few rifles and never a problem.
  
  Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

  I have a rifle basix in my 1000yd light gun and have grown quite fond of it. I also have shilens, timneys, and jewells. The main number one problem with any trigger is that most folks DO NOT understand the trigger mechanism NOR DO THEY know how to properly adjust them. Many aftermarket triggers can be found with the springs overcompressed in the housing of the trigger and when the screw is backed off, the springs remain "hung up" on a thread back in the trigger body, which in effect negates whichever screw has overcompressed that spring and no adjustment amount on that screw will change anything.
  
  I have FACTORY rem700 triggers that my gunsmith has made to feel like a $200 trigger.
  
  Of those listed, I would feel safest with the rifle basix first but they will all probably do just fine.
  
  why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
