"Crown" 12ga. Single Shot ???????
I purchased a single barrell 12-gauge shotgun from a gentleman who is 79-years old. He told me that the gun belonged to his Grandfather. The only markings on the gun are "Crown" in cursive writing engraved in the metal on the left side of the gun. On the right side in small writing the patent date is listed. (Dec.13 1889)
I cannot find a serial number. Any Help on who made this gun and where the serial number is? I have taken it completely apart but still have not found the serial number. Thanks!!!

No reason to have a serial on a gun of that era. If no proofs, then a domestic product by one of the utility manufacturers. Worth very little on the general market as you probably already know.

Crown Arms Co. Belgium No history known, but should have proof marks. Value equal to or less than indicated by Nord. 0
