Weatherby scopes?

It was "outsourced" by Weatherby, probably to one of the Japanese manufacturers (No manufacturer except Schmidt and Bender actually makes scopes from the ground up. All the others outsource manufacture with their name or outsource parts and assemble). You could ask Weatherby who made it by they have little incentive to reveal that. If no one else give you a value, I can look it up tonight.

Stroebel gives no indication of who makes these scopes for Weatherby, but the Supreme 3-9 x 44mm (fov at 100 yrd, 36-13ft, eye relief 3.5 in. Length 12.7", weight 11.6oz, tube diameter, 1") began production in 1984. Value (2000 publication) $245-$345 depending upon condition. Premium if you have box and inserts. Must be a decent scope!

    Thanks for the info.

It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.
