Advice on listing NIB T/C Renegade
I have a Thompson/Center Renegade muzzle loading rifle in 50 cal. with double set triggers that is basically new in the box. I purchased two of these rifles in 1986 and used one for hunting for several years and never removed the other one from the original box. I have opened the box several times to check the condition and found no change from original. Since I have never removed the rifle from the box, I don't know what the other side of the barrel or stock look like. The box is not in new condition from being stored for many years and shipped several times to new job locations.
My question is:
If I list the rifle on GunBroker as New In Box, should I remove the barrel and stock from the box to thoroughly check the condition and should I assemble the rifle to check that it functions properly? I have observed how particular Bidders are when a rifle is listed as NIB. (No I would not fire it!). All of the original instruction and warranty info included.
I haven't noticed a Renegade listed on GunBroker as NIB so I'm also naturally curious as to the value.

I would make sure it didn't have any rust on the barrel. You can buy a nib rifle for around 400.00 0
