Ruger 77/22Hornet trigger
Has anyone besides me had a problem installing a Drayton-Traister trigger on a Ruger 77/22 Hornet? It was supposed to be "dropin" installation. It was too wide for slot in receiver. After fitting that, the safety didn't work and required a little careful grinding and fitting. Drop in job took about two hours of tedious work. At least it now all works and has a decent trigger pull. I certainly don't recommend this product[:(!]

wat loads are u using and what accuracy are u getting from ur hornet? 0 -
The Ruger 77/22H shoots about 1 " groups, Ruger # 1 about 1.3" groups and old Winchester 43 about 1/2 to 3/4" groups
I use 37 gr James Calhoon bullets, CCI SMALL PISTOL primers, R-P brass and 13.5 gr of Accurate Arms #1680 powder. Accurate recommends the small pistol primer with Hornet case and 1680 powder.
I have shot thousands of prairie dogs with these rifles and this load. Two years ago I fired 105 shots in 90 minutes with about 85-90% hit ratio. Had Winchester 43 too hot to shoot any more.

Dropped one of those aftermarket spring kits into my 77/22 Hornet and the trigger now has a nice, crisp 3# break.
It's favorite load is the 35 gr Hornady V-Max, 13.0 gr Hodgdon Lil' Gun, a CCI BR4 primer in W-W cases. Gets a chrono'd 3025 fps and MOA on days with the wind under 10 mph.

Bought it from Midway - look in their catalog or online, should be able to find it. Volquartzen, or something like that.
