Win Model '94 upgrade?

I have Win. '94, .30 .30 that a gunsmith buddy 'o mine has offered to install a loop lever on it for $50. Post '64 barely.
Good idea?

I have owned it for 20 years and have no intention of selling. I just like the look of the loop lever.
Will it hurt the value?

I am fond of the lever actions and love plinking with this gun and I plink with a .45-70 a lot as well.

  Good idea? Up to you. Not for me.
  
  Hurt the value? No, not provided you replace the original lever before selling and there is no finish damage.
