Old 20 ga. side by side (external hammers)

I'm looking for any information on a "nitro express" double barrel 20 ga. with external hammers.The only markings on it are "nitro
express" with a "rams head" logo between the words nitro and express.
It seems to be in good shape, dirty and a little surface rust, but it has a tight action both hammers will cock and fire. It doesn't appear to wire twist barrels. Thanks! Any information will help.

  Not enough information to go on....Nitro Express leads me to believe its a European Made Gun...When You dismount the Barrels, is there any Markings under the Rear of the Barrels?...What I'm looking for is Proof Marks....on the what is called The Water Table...I can't guarenty that I/We can be of much help.....but I/We'll try....

  Nitro Hunter was used on guns made by Crescent for Belknap Hardware, Nitro King was used on guns made by (for) Sears, and Nitro Special was used by Stevens. This may have been a shotgun made for sale by another entity, which will make if very difficult to track. Kirk may be correct that it is European, but I cannot locate the rams head or Nitro Express in any reference. Marks on the water table will be the best hope.

  Thanks for the info.I went back to my notes on the 20 ga. hammer gun,
  and I had transposed a word. The markings are "nitro hunter" with the rams head between the two words. Sorry about that. Thanks again for your info. I found this gun in a crowded,poorly lit antique shop, and I couldn't examine it closely.

  My 2 cents, is's only a wall hanger,i.e. decorator UNLESS it can be substantiated that the barrels are steel not Damascus. Even then the value of Mule Ear "Hardware" guns made by Crescent is minimal.
  
  Unless your a shooter/reloader who likes shooting the old timers, and/or get a hell of a deal on it, it's no bargain and has little resale value in the condition you describe.
