SAKO RIIHIMAKI 222 Mag Heavy Barrel
I saw a sako with a kind of flip type safety on the bolt at a gun show today. it was a 222 mag with a heavy barrel and a really nice fine checkered monte carlo stock. it was stamped RIIHIMAKI on the reciever, but I didn't even think to look at the model number and when he told me what he wanted for it i got away as quick as possible. it had a weaver scope on it and it had a front sight. he wanted $1200 for it. i just want to see if this is a fair price or if i should leave it alone.i would appreciate any input.

Hello this is the early model and should be Clip/Magazine fed I have one Execlent condition and will sell for much less but That price could be in the ball park if Like new with box Etc 0 -
it is in darn good condition. i was thinking about trading a mark V weatherby 257 mag ultra lightweight for it. i had never really even paid attention for them but it just caught my eye and i was looking for someone a little more knowledgeable about this company to give me an idea about it.

Hello this action if clip fed is the L-46 later was replaced by L-461 that had a floor plate both were called the Vixen L-46 was made in 22 Hornet 218 Bee 222 & 222Mag the L46 was made from 1950 - 1963 a larger action was the l- 57 Forester. They are thought of highly . If yours is a L46 action and you load a 222mag into the chamber some long bullets will not clear the front of the ejection port if you dont shoot the round and try to unload it . 0 -

the clip fed 222 mags were cataloged as the L469, not the L46. The L46 were 222, or 22 Hornet, or 218 Bee. I have a L469 sporter in case you dont think they exist. Serial #44838. If I could get $1200 for it I would sell it. 0
