I have a very old Smith & Wesson model 17 CTG 22 cal. long barrel revolver in good condition. What would be the approximate value of this gun.

  USMCVET......Welcome to the forums.
  
  The older Smith model 17's were made with mostly 6" barrels, but also 4" and 8 3/8". Also known as K-22's the Blue Book lists their value at:
  
  100% cond $400.00
  98% cond $300.00
  95% cond $260.00

  Hi and Welcome!
  
  The "K-22" was before the Model 17. In 1957 S&W started using the Mod. 17 designation. So without full model and serial number information it is difficult to say when yours may have been made.
