9422 trigger-pull

What can I do about the"godawfull" trigger on my new Winchester 9422M.Its almost like a double action revolver.The hammer actually moves backward a "mite" when I pull the trigger at FULL cock.Thanks

  guess i was lucky. got mine when i turned 16 for my birthday from my dad. it was one sweet shooting rifle. killed rabbits, squirrels, and deer with it. (did i say deer [:0]? well just that once [:D])

  i just checked my 9422 and the trigger is very nice-it is alot newer tho. the hammer did not move back at all.
