Remington New Model Navy

I have a New Model Navy serial number 26551. Does anyone know what dom that would be?

  Flayderman, "Flayderman's Guide" notes that the serial numbers for the New Model Navy, started at 23,000 in 1863. Your number is just over 3,500 higher. My WAG, is that it would date your revolver no later then the mid 60's. As the Civil War was raging during this time frame, Remington was cranking out all the guns they could as fast as they could.
