Info Old Flintlock Holster Pistol
I have an old flintlock holster pistol, total measures 20 1/2 inches; barrel is about 13 inches. No makers marks no proof marks not a cartouche on the thing. Not engraved . I took a number of photos that I can send. Any one with knowledge on these that could give me any info? Thanks iowa

There is probably ( 3 ) likely possibilities, concerning your pistol.
1), "Tourist Piece" most like originating in North Africa, never had any markings.
2), "Original" dateing to the 18th Century that has been so extensively refinished, that all markings have been removed.
3), "Modern Reproduction" that has been artificially aged, with modern commerical markings/proofs removed to give apperaence of being a period/vintage pistol.
