DAN WESSON .38 SPECIAL
I have a Dan Wesson .38 special that I bought from a retired law enforcement friend of mine. I believe he just had it sitting in a case for years. I have had it for about 3 years and have only shot it twice. I've been getting more interested in firearms and decided to look up some info on my revolver. It is very difficult to find any informaton on a Dan wesson .38 revolver. I did find one article that said they made it for only two years and they are rare. I haven't seen any for sale on Gun Broker or any of the other gun auction sites. I was just wondering if anyone had any information on a revolver like this and maybe if anyone knew how much it was worth.
Thanks

dan wesson went through so many reorganizations it is hard to keep track of them. these are good functional revolvers but do not bring any more $$ than a good smith m-10 or ruger security six. 0 -
As the previous poster noted many different versions of the Wesson revolver were made by at least two different companies. You're going to have to furnish us with all the markings on your revolver, as well as the physical dimensions, for us to be able to help you, i.e. ascertain which model you have, made by which entity, approximate value, etc.etc.
