HEY GUYS MY DAD JUST GAVE ME HIS DADS 22 REVOLVER. IT IS A HIGH STANDARD SENTINEL DELUXE 9 SHOT REVOLVER. IT IS EITHER CHROME, NICKEL.OR STAINLESS. EXECELLENT CONDITION, S/N#1544766 MOD 106. I DON'T WANT TO SELL IT BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE YEAR AND WHAT IT'S WORTH FOR INSURANCE PURPOPSES THANX ED

    i have a sport king with 6 1/2" barrel. my buddy has a flight-king 4" barrel chambered for .22 short. both are the early lever take-down type. he wants $35.00 for his barrel. My question is would it be practical to buy his barrel and have it rechambered to .22 LR and fit to my frame. or keep looking for a 4" sport king barrel and have it fit to my frame?[?]

    type 1 or type 2?
    my type 2 is worth 1500.00.
    crappy triggers. hard sights to adjust.
    fixed bbls. no takedown.

    There are 2 types of these pistols one has i lever on the left side and one has 2 levers The model E was a great gun for it's time but you need to know what to look for reblue ETC before you spend big bucks

    bobski is just letting you know that these early High Standards are of interest for their collector appeal and not their shooting abilities. The later pistols, especially the Supermatic series, are both collectable as well as great shooters. Frankly I think someone is pulling your leg about the Modle E having been purchased in 1930 because as far as I know that model was introduced in around 1938...you need to investigate this further.

    just a long shot...but does the gun have an exposed hammer? if so, it may be an HE. like the others added, you might get took, if you dont know what to look for on that model gun. can you post a pic of it? does it look like mine below?

    uhhh, describe the box..............is it wood or cardboard? is it type 1 or 2?

    hmmm, all my e's were in custom wood boxes with individual compartments. does you box have the factory label on it with matching serial number to gun? odds are, yours is the type 1 if its in cardboard. the type 2's were a step up.
