need date of manufacture remington 700

can someone tell me the date of manufacture for a remington 700 adl with ser# 2960xxxx?

  Hello Sherwin,
  
  Remington firearms DOMS are not related to the serial number. Instead, Remington uses a date code stamped on the left side of the barrel very near to the receiver.
