45 L.C. Ammo
I have an opportunity to buy a Tristar SA LTD 'Regulator 45 L.C.' replica made by Uberti. Can anyone tell me if this company (TRISTAR) sells good quality imports and stands behind their products? Thanks
Also, can you fire regular 45 revolver ammo in a 45 L.C. ?

Uberti makes a good product. It won't stand up to the abuse like a Ruger Vaquero, but the Uberti's are cheaper. If you are buying this as a used gun, have it checked, as many of this guns could have seen a loot of shooting in "Cowboy Action", and I have seen some really "loose" from the beating taken.
I understand the "new" Beretta SA revolvers are made by Uberti, attesting to their quality. Uberti's main importer, Stoeger Firearms has a good reputation for service and warranty work.

Uberti revolvers are usually okay, however the importer Stoeger has been out of business for 2 or 3 yrs. so dont depend on them if you have a problem. Unless it is really cheap you will be much better off to pay a little more and get a Ruger.They are far stronger and better made.
Any good gunsmith should be able to check it out and service it for normal fees . You can only shoot 45 Colt not 45 ACP in it. You can buy a Ruger with dual cylinders fitted at the factory, one for the ACP and one for 45 Colt. You switch calibers by changing cylinders .0 -

Yup. And the Stampede is a fine firearm. I have a 5.5" .45 Colt version in Nickel and wood. Beautiful gun, nice shooter. The only difference between the Uberti model and the Beretta model is the firing system. The Uberti has a traditional hammer-mounted firing pin, the Beretta has a Ruger-type transfer bar system. While some hard core types don't like the transfer bar, I'll take it any day. I paid $399 for my Stampede brand new and would have gladly paid more. WHile I love the Rugers ( I also have a 5.5" Vaquero .44 mag) I think the Uberti/Beretta feel better. They are much closer to the original peacemaker, while the Rugers are substantially beefier. Of course, the Ruger .45 Colt's can be loaded as if they were .44 mags; the Uberti/;Beretta will not handle those pressure (or anything even near them).
It's easy to spot liberals-they are the ones who have no assets to protect and need every handout they can get. They have forbeyed themselves ascendence to a productive lifestyle.0
