12Gage side by side

I am looking into buying a 12ga side by side shotgun. I know what I want but I'm looking for help in deciding if I should get a 26" or a 28" barrel. I am 6'2" and have a long reach. I will be using it for pheasunt, grouse and probally some skeet. Can anybody give me some direction?

  From a ballistics point of view, either is more than long enough to deliver full velocity. Generally, it is considered that the 26 will swing a little faster getting on the birds or clay. I think the best option is for you to try them on. find the shotgun that feels like part of you and swings naturally.

  I AM 6'2" ALSO ,I PREFER THE 26" FOR UPLAND BIRDS . THE FEEL AS HEDOG SAID , IS MOST IMPORTANT . WHEN YOU SHOULDER IT YOU WANT IT TO NATURALLY POINT WHERE YOU LOOK [ AT YOUR TARGET ] . HONESTLY,
  MOST WELL MADE DOUBLES FEEL GOOD BUT SOME FEEL BETTER THAN OTHERS AND YES A FEW WILL ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE A PART OF YOU .

  you need to think of the sight plane. i know from a personal stand point the longer sight plane is better for me. might be a mental problem but with short barrels i couldnt hit the brode side of a barn. do what the others are saying and shoulder both if you can. also if you have some friends that have some that will let you try them out first.
