    Ed, if you want to sell any parts you have to be familiar enough with them to describe them in detail, & you need to be able to post high quality digital photos. You need to describe the markings on TOP of your gun part, & you also need to give the caliber. You may be able to find useful information on the Gunpartscorp website, or, better yet, buy their catalog.

    Several years ago I was attempting to restore an abused Luger with a bad "top half", & I would have paid $200 for one in 9mm. I believe that you would get more than that for one in 9mm today, not as much if it is .30. In any case, they are only useful for parts, as they will not match the number of the "lower half".

    For unusual things like this, however, the only way to determine the value for sure is to post it at auction & see what someone is willing to pay.

    The 6" barrel could have been from a Navy Model Luger. If so, the rear sight would have been adjustable for elevation. The Navy Luger parts would be much more valuable than the Army (4" bbl).
