Superposed verses Citori

Cany anyone define the design differences between the original Browning Superposed and the current Citori. I know the Superposed is still available at a premium price and I am wondering if the difference is price is in the components or the name?

Any info would be apprteciated.

    TWO DIFERENT SHOTGUNS, I DON'T BELIEVE THE SUPERPOSED IS MADE ANY MORE. THE CITORI IS MADE IN JAPAN, BUT IS STILL A VERY GOOD GUN. FOR A SHOOTER THERE ISN'T ANY DIFFERENCE (I'VE OUNED AND SHOT BOTH).

    superposed are the original 1933 design still made in belgium. citoris are japanese made that are more suite to specific sports. citoris come with more add on gizmos. rule of thumb, superposed kick more than citoris but superposed hold their value better. hope this helps.

    This info that I am giving is more of a person view. I have looked at the drawings of both the citori and superposed and have found them to be mostly the same. I know the superposed was given the name superposed which means over and under. As you know the superposed is still made, but by my understanding is only for the custom shop. Shooting and looks of the gun are very close between the two from what I can see. I am no expert and browning can probably give you a better feel. If you go to Brownings website you can get the whole details of each gun.

    I hope this helps out a little it was a great question and enjoyed doing a little research on the supject.

    ive shot and worked on both guns. im hear to tell you the difference in holding and swinging them is like day or night. belgian guns dont have high ribs. belgian forearms takedown differently than jap guns. the jap guns kick less becasue of the way the wood is designed and recoil is redirected off your arm. jap guns tend to float targets where belgian guns are mostly line of sight. jap guns make better competition guns since ribs are made higher to remove mirage. belgian guns have low ribs to keep crud out of the bbls when you drag it thru the woods. hope this helps.
