I might be wrong but I believe the Yugo 59 (no grenade launcher) is legal in CA but the 59/66(with grenade launcher) is not.AIM has both for sale.

All sks's are legal except #1.... The yuko with the built in grenade launcher (you can still get the yogo model but the price will be higher in Ca. since they effectively remove the grenage system and replace it with a welded on muzzle brake that can not be removed without severly harming the barrel). and #2 the norinco/chinese sks can not be sold with the folding spike bayonet (the gun can be "doctored" if it has been modified where it will not accept a spike bayonet). Go figure cause I see all the time in Ca. the russian sks's with the folding-under-stock blade bayonet.

I hope this info has been helpful.

The russian sks with the fold-under-stock blade bayonet is leagal in Ca. (i see them all the time). However the chinese sks with the spike type bayonet is not. you can "doctor" the chinese stock to accept the spike bayonet if it has been made not to but I have no idea of cost.
