Background Photo Color?

What do you Guys think the best background color is, for takeing photos of rifles for Insurance purpouse would be? Red? Thanks

  Solid color pastels work best. Light blue, beige, tan, light grey. A plain pastel blanket should do the job.
  
  Shoot in open shade, or if indoors, near a window (but out of direct sunlight).
  
  Use a tripod and cable release, if possible.
  
  Focus carefully.
  
  Take a careful meter reading and shoot. Left and right profile. Closeups of any engraving or special accessories or features.
  
  Open up a full stop, and shoot again.
  
  If you have to use a flash, try to bounce it off a white ceiling and bracket your exposures.
  
  Have three copies made of each print. One for the insurance company, one for home, and one for a safe deposit box (in case of a home fire).
  
  On the back of the photo, write the make, model, serial number, caliber, accessories, upgrades, special features, etc.
