Baker Gun Co. Dbl Bbl shotgun- Value & History
One more time to the well of knowlege. A friend of mine asked me about hte value of this shotgun.
Any ideas on the value of this old shotgun?
General Characteristics: Double Barrel, exposed hammers, double trigger, damascus Barrels.
1886-1912, exact date unknown
Baker Gun Company-no longer in business
Batavis, NY-no longer there
gun company name on each side of breach
model 1897 on bottom of trigger guard
35523 stamped on wood forepiece-also same number stamped in metal that holds forepiece, also inside breach block
checkered mule ear hammers in rectangular box similar to that on trigger guard
I am trying to get some clear photos.

Assuming that this is one of the standard field grade Bakers, and not one of the fancier grades:
80% - $195
70% - $175
60% - $150
Please don't try to use modern shotgun shells thru this old lady. Damascus barrels were made for blackpowder.
And.....last time I drove thru NY State, Batavia was still there. [:)]0
