    Hello Snellstrom...

The "Flat-band" Model 94s were made there appearance shortly after WW II commenced, and were made for approximately 2.5 years. The short 7-7/8-inch forearm stock replaced the longer 9-1/8-inch forearm stock circa serial number 1,850,000.

Hi Snellstrom, What BertH. said is right. However, it would not be surprising to see a flatband model manufacured as late as '49 or '50 or a long wood specimen made as late as '51. But I have never seen a correct flatband with the shorter forearm wood. My two cents.
