Ak drums
Does anyone have info on ChiCom 100rd drums for 7.62x39? The ones for auction don't look any bigger than my 75rd (7in.dia). Is this a wack job?

As in: dimentions, background info, production. And my guess was off. The diameter of my drum is 6in.

I just measured the diameter of a 100-round Chinese drum; it measures 7 inches at the rear. My 75-rounder is deep in the safe, but I'll expect it's the same diameter as yours -- the 100-round drum really isn't that much larger than the 75. Trying to see the difference from just a photo without comparision or something to reference the size would be difficult.

The 75 round drums are a nice fit in the chinese drum pouches. The 100 round drums are a tight fit. There is a slight difference in diameter. Both 75 and 100 round drums are original chinese issue, no hack job.

Yes, you can delete your posts. If you start a thread you cannot delete the whole thing, but can edit it to nothing if you want.
The "dude" who responded first was Mark Christian -- one of the most knowledgable guys on this site -- especially about things "AK." Understanding "tone" of written words can be a problem on a forum like this; I think Mark was a little quick in his responses to you -- especially since you're a new member -- and on second thought removed his comments. Maybe he'll explain for himself.

A good friend of mine has three 75 rounders and one 100 rounder. He is very happy with the seventy five's but has had minor problems with the 100 every time he takes it out. He is selling it.
