How long do I contend with this AR-15?
I have an Essential Arms (pre ban - not that means anything now) that shoots great for a clip or 3 then starts jamming. It is a nice gun. Except for the receiver it is all stock military. I like it and it is accurate. But it is awful frustrating to play with clearing jammed rounds all afternoon. I have examined all parts, lubrication, etc., and do NOT know the cause of my problems.

Don't know if this will help, but I had a similar problem with my Armalite M-15 (AR-15 look-a-like). By accident I found the problem and it was easy to fix.
It turns out that apparently a primer from some of the cheap ammo (greek ss-109 maybe) had popped out and rattled around in the action until it became deformed enough (kinda round) that it was somehow able to fall into the receiver housing. The part that forms a "well" for the bolt holdback release to sit into and move and function.
What was happening was that the deformed primer was sometimes putting pressure on the bolt holdback release and causing that release to maintain pressure on the bolt. There was no way to notice any of this except that I kept having jams even when using different ammo and different mags.
I got lucky and once when I was peering around in the receiver looking for anything unusual, I spotted the deformed primer. I was able to get it out without removing the pin that hold the bolt holdback in the frame and since that time my M-15 has functioned perfectly.

Try taking some of that 'lubrication' out of the rifle. Too much lube can easily cause an AR to not cycle.

Check the gas tube fit to the bolt, that's after it's clean and the ammo is not the problem. Has Wolf ammo been used in this gun?

What kind of magazines are you using?
Also you may want to go to a hobby store and buy some long pipe cleaners to clean out your gas tube.
EDIT: Another test might be to see if you can't borrow a buddies lower or upper or both and see if you can't narrow down wat your problem is.

what kind of jam is it short stroking?? take your gas tube out and note the carbon maybe the hole is not aligned with it not blowing the bolt back hard enough also buffer spring tension can cause a lot of problems these are just a few places to start

When you take the bolt apart you know that the 3 gass rings must not be alighned. I know this is a long shot but i have heard this issue before. My 2 cents [8D]

What kind of jams? Would give a clue as to the cause. Bad mag, trash in the action, gaps in the gas rings aligned, too much lube, all easy checks/fixes. Also check for a dirty extractor/trash betwen it and the bolt, carbon build up inside the bolt carrier, dirty barrel extension, trigger pin drifting out, coould be a lot of things. Let us know what you find that fixes it. 0 -
