Weaver K3-1 question

I took this scope off my Model 700 .222mag(1964)a while back because it doesn't work worth a hoot in low light situations.Anyway,last night I decided to put it on the Marlin Mod.60 I just got and it was the only one I had layin' around.
Is this a 3x scope?
Would it be safe to assume that it was made in the mid-60's like the gun it came off of?
Is it anything special?

    It is a K-3, and probably was one of the good ones out of Elpaso.
    It should say on it where it was made.
    Nothing really expensive, just a darn good scope for the age.

    Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

    Thanks for the reply.

    The only other markings on it besides "Weaver",is "USA" and on
    the left side of the top adjuster is "Micro-???"(I can't remember[:I])

    Bobby, the K-3 is a 3x scope, fov is 37 feet at 100 yd. Eye Relief is 3-6 inches. Built between 1973 and 1984. Value (2000) is $40-$75 according to Stroebel.

    I just read a book by jack oconnor and the weaver k line was him favorite scope(as far as i can tell) and yes it is a 3x scope

    I still have my 3x weaver, and they were and are good scopes. No Luepold of course, but a good scope. Yes they are a little dark for low light, I always thought that the ElPaso scope maker thought all of their hunters hunted in the bright texas sunlight!!

    Well then,finally I have a scope that's worth as much as what I gave for the gun.[:D][:D]

    Actually,after work yesterday ,already gettin' late,I set up at 25 yds.and proceeded to make ragged holes.Three five shot groups w/a little tweakin' in between and the last three were dead center.
    Yep,gonna be alright.[^][^]
