I am not clear on the threads in the after market choke. Do they typically use the orginal thread pattern or is there a standard for the after market tubes? The comprehensive list does not address this. Thanks.

Aftermarket choke tubes are made for specific shotgun makes and models. Remington uses one thread, Winchester another. So the answer is not other brands. However, Colonial has lots of easily changed choke tubes that'll work just fine for a reasonable price. You have to know which model you have though. Some are not for use with steel shot. Go here and into their catalogue. http://www.colonialarms.com/catalog.html

Thanks for the replies. The barrel was shorten and rethreaded. I am not sure if the threads were original Winchester or an aftermarket thread pattern. The answer must be to check the thread pattern. Thanks again for the replies.

I'm not sure, but I "think" Colonial has their own thread size, and I don't think they interchange with anyone elses choke tubes. Give them a call or e-mail them and ask. Then let us know too!
