    i have a j stevens arms company rifle in 32 long {marksman} it is a takedown model s/n09, appears to be in original cond, and is in fair condition, any ideas on value ? thanks grizz.

    You will find most gun shops not interested in this model unless you are giving it away. These are known as jam masters as well as gunsmith's nightmares because of the internal mechanisms "wearing out" and becoming inoperable. Normal 742 values for 80-90 % condition are $200.00.

    From your SN# I can tell you it was made between 1968-1975. But like the others stated need more detail.
