remington 870 express

I've heard both good and bad things about Remington's Model 870 Express in comparison to the 870 Wingmaster. Is it worth paying twice the $$$$ for the Wingmaster?

    I have a Remington model 870 express on the side it says 2 3/4 or 3 inch for magnum recivers only. How do i tell if i have a magnum or not?

    the serial # will have an M at the end

    I would also call remington and ask them . There was a major lawsuit on this subject awhile ago because Rem had some barrels blowing up do to people not knowing whether they had a magnum receiver or not.

    Just checked mine and it has a M last in the serial number. It also says Magnum on the receiver.

    Mine also has a M in the serial number and magnum on the reciever.

    mine has a m at the end of the serial number but doesnt have magnum writen anywhere.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that 3 inch is a magnum and 3 ? is a super magnum.
