.243 Rifling VS. Bullet Weight

I own a .243 with a stainless match grade barrel with 1/10" rifling.
Should I tend to shoot heavier bullets or lighter bullets with this rate of twist?. Also any good advise on great bullet/powder combinations would be appreciated.

    The 10" twist is capable of stabilizing bullet weights from 55 grains up through the standard 100 grain hunting style bullets. This leaves out the longer VLD shaped bullets that require a 9" or 8" twist. All of this range should shoot but most rifles show a preference for particular weights or shapes. The only way to tell is to try them and experiment with loads. That's the best part of the fun!

    1:9" is the standard rifling for most .243 win. or 6mm rem. rifles, but as nononsense said, 1:10 sould be able to stabilize most of the common .244" bullets. 105gr. is the heaviest bullet you're likely to find on the shelves. There are 120 grainers and so forth out there, but these were designed to be used in long-range match shooting with such wildcats as the 6mm-284.

    It's easy to spot liberals-they are the ones who have no assets to protect and need every handout they can get. They have forbeyed themselves ascendence to a productive lifestyle.

    Im reading a book my Jack O'connor and he says that the rate of twist doesnt really matter what bullet weight you use. But it will change the ballistic coeficint.

    W125, the ballistic coefficient of any bullet is fixed by its diameter, shape, and weight. The rifling twist rate doesn't have anything to do with it. Jack O'connor was not my favorite shooting scribe. Warren Page was. O'connor was some kind of hunter, but was not an accuracy nut.
    Page was also an accomplished hunter, and also an avid bench rest competitor. Get a copy of Page's "The Accurate Rifle", read it, and you'll find that it is time well spent!!
    By the way, nononsense has got it right.
