ak scope mount removal

any way to safely get this stupid thing off? i dont think a scope mount on an akm is very realistic and it looks dumb IMHO.

Anyone have any ideas after the screw removal on this type of mount how to remove it? Can't figure out how to get the pic in here so look @ this http://www.cdnninvestments.com/akdetasiramo.html

What type of scope mount do you have ? the one that replces the top receiver dust cover, or the side rail mount type???

Same question. If it's on the top cover, get a new top cover if it's a side mount, it's supposed to be there on the AKM.

If it is the top cover mount, push in on the square button, and that will release the whole top cover with scope mont attached. if you need a new top reiver dust cover, I have one . hatchettman2003@yahoo.com

thanks for the replys and sorry it took me song long to reply, but its one of the side mount rails that appears to be riveted on.

Leave it, it`s supposed to be there, it adds to the value of the weapon !!!
