Depending on which source I look at,I come up with
    1908 or 1909.

    Hope this helps,

    Well,if that's the case,

    one says "1951 or later"

the other says "1918 or later"

    Beats me.

    Hello,

Definitely later than 1908/09, or 1918. The brass magazine spool & counter was replaced by one made of aluminum sometime during the 1960s.

I just talked to a sav. m-99 collector this week end and he said some sav. m-99's were made in spain (it should say this in fine print on the barrel) and hve the L prefix. 'L' as in Llama.

We really need more info, WHERE IS THE SAFTY ? whats the manufactures marking on the bbl say? how long is the bbl? what shape and color is the cocking indicator? what shape is the stock and forearm? are the plain or do they have checkering on them? what cal?does it have a rotory mag or a detachable mag? where is the serial # located on the gun? does it say anything on the bbl ring just in front of the reciever about 99-f, or 99-c ect, ect? I think the L in your serial # is a # 1 but the best one can figure you have a 99-E made from 1960-84. if it has a detachable mag then its an early 99-c. lots to think about! [?]
