M1895 Nagant Cylinder Adjustment
Of course, from everything I have read in the past, matching the .32 ACP Nagant cylinders with Nagants is, sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't.
I finally got two .32 ACP cylinders for my two 1895 Nagant revolvers, I figured between the two cylinders and the two revolvers, I would find a suitable fit between these combinations.
Well, after playingwith the different combinations, in one of the revolvers, one cylinder would work all the time in double action mode, but only allow single action in about four of the seven chambers.
I figure (as I always figured) I would sell any combination that didn't work out and keep the combination that did. Of course, the revolver and cylinder will be sold with complete disclosure of my findings.
So it seems with the new cylinder, and one Nagant, I have something that seems like it will work 75% of the time. That is pretty close, but nothing I want to pass down to my children. I am thinking that it might be that just shooting a few boxes of ammo through it will loosen things up to the point there will be no problem. But I'd rather take a more technical approach, don't want to just spend several boxes of ammo trying to break in an expensive revolver (you can laugh now).
Anyone got any ideas on areas I can hone/sand/grind/beat to get this to operate 100% without a lot of effort?
