magazine removal of moss500

how does the magazine come off the mossberg 500? it looks as if the tube screws into the receiver, but i cant unscrew it and i don't want to use any tools on the mag or receiver. until i find out if there might be some kind of pin or something special that i need to do, etc. thanks in advance.

  IT JUST UNSCREWS. NO HIDDEN PINS. I CLAMP THE TUBE IN MY BARREL VICE AND TURN THE RECEIVER BEING CAREFUL NOT TO BEND THE TUBE AT THE ENTRY POINT. ALFONSE

  i may help to warm the receiver some (not too hot).

  If you do use any type of tool to clamp on the magazine tube make sure you clamp at the very end of the magazine tube where it screws to the barrel or you'll damage it.
