    Bought a Colt Diamondback .22
    Are the .22 and .38 stocks interchangable? Which is the correct medallion (gold or silver)?

    The correct medallion depends on the year of manufacture. It is my understanding that Colt changed from silver to gold on premium revolvers in the 1950's, but this is not a specific rule of thumb.

    I understand that the .38 and .22 Diamondbacks are identical except for the bores, which makes the .22 slightly heavier. Dimensionally they are the same. My .38 has gold medalions, but unsure of age.
